Salary Increase Calculator
A Salary Increase Calculator helps you calculate how much your salary will increase after applying a specific percentage raise. It can also estimate your future salary over several years when the same percentage increase is applied repeatedly.
This calculator supports both yearly and half-yearly salary increases. You can also select a projection period of 3, 5, 10, 15, or 20 years.
How Does the Salary Increase Calculator Work?
First, enter your current salary and the percentage of salary increase. Then select how frequently the increase occurs and choose your desired projection period.
For example, if your current salary is $10,000 and you receive a 10% salary increase, the increase amount is $1,000 and your new salary is $11,000.
Salary Increase Formula
The basic salary increase formula is:
Increase Amount = Current Salary × Increase Percentage ÷ 100
New Salary = Current Salary + Increase Amount
Yearly Salary Increase
With the Yearly option, the selected percentage increase is applied once every year. For example, with a 10% annual increase, your salary grows by 10% each year.
Half-Yearly Salary Increase
With the Half-Yearly option, the salary increase is applied every six months. Therefore, a five-year projection contains ten increase periods.
Salary Projection Formula
When the same percentage increase is applied repeatedly, the calculator uses compound growth:
Projected Salary = Current Salary × (1 + Increase Percentage ÷ 100)ⁿ
Here, n represents the number of salary increase periods.
